LibreOffice is a part of the openSUSE standard installation available as soon as openSUSE is installed. Libreoffice is a great alternative to office software packages like Microsoft Office. LibreOffice has more or less the same functions as MS-Office and can besides using the open-standard file formats also read and write MS-Office file formats. LibreOffice is produced as opensourse and is free and gratis. LibreOffice like much other opensourse software also available in versions for Windows and Mac.

Linus Benedict Torvalds; born December 28, 1969 in Helsinki, Finland) is a Finnish software engineer best known for having initiated the development of the Linux kernel and git revision control system. He later became the chief architect of the Linux kernel, and now acts as the project's coordinator.
